Youth Development and Leadership: For Grades 6-12
HEAF's Youth Development uses a hands-on approach to help students gain leadership skills and a strong sense of personal direction, accountability and resiliency. Students use these skills explore different cultures, professions and community needs.
All HEAF students are required to participate in the program, which strengthens character and helps students to develop resiliency.
HEAF also offers free temporary counseling for students who may need additional support.

The Youth Development and Leadership program offers components such as:

- Youth Leadership Retreats
- Leadership Training and Internships
- Service Learning
